A Girl and the Word
A Girl and the Word
EP 1: A Girl's Introduction
Hi, welcome to the A Girl and the Word podcast!
This is an unedited, messy, faith-filled podcast and I'm your host Kalee, a blogger, growth marketing manager, and now podcast producer, lover of all things coffee, house plants, and Jesus.
Welcome to episode one of A Girl and the Word, and I’m so excited for what God has in store for this podcast. On Today’s episode, we’re going to uncover a bit about who I am, the girl behind the podcast, and what I hope you get out of the episodes to come.
I do want to preface that I'm no Theologian, scholar, or pastor. I am merely a disciple of Christ. Someone who loves diving deep into the Bible and growing in my relationship with Christ. So please keep that in mind while listening along!
My goal for you in listening to this podcast is that you are able to:
- Learn something new
- Begin to see different points of views
- Have healthy conversations and debates about what you believe and why
- Understand the Bible the way that it was intended to be understood
- Get to know Jesus
I was running from God for a very, very long time. I was selling my soul to the world left and right, and as you might have heard in the teaser, I was left feeling lonely, broken, and cynical. I was in and out of deep holes, with no glimmer of light, but on top of a mountain, in the middle of Scotland (cliche I know), God met me where I was.
I am a child again.
My past is wiped clean.
I have been forgiven.
I have been set free.
So my prayer for you, as you listen to this, is that you hear nothing but love in my voice. You don’t feel judged or angry by what I’m saying. Your heart isn’t hardening the more that you listen, but better yet, you want to hear more...you want to know who is this God that I serve? What’s this guy named Jesus all about?
Now, if you like the sound of this, please subscribe to this podcast and follow @agirlandthewordpodcast on Instagram to keep up to date!
Have a listen to the other episodes and join the community. Let's fellowship with one another and grow in Christ.
I'll see you next week, God Bless!
